PicoGuard™ Ultra-Low Capacitance ESD Protection Devices With the ever-increasing high speed serial data interfaces present in today's mobile handsets and consumer electronic devices, CMD's PicoGuard™ family of ultra low capacitance ESD protection devices provide a robust, ultra low ESD protection solution that preserves signal integrity of these interfaces. Typical applications for PicoGuard™ products include flex cable interfaces typically utilized in clamshell or slider wireless handsets, antenna protection and USB 2.0, Serial-ATA, DVI and HDMI interfaces. These interfaces typically operate at data ratesat 500Mbps and above and therefore are extremely sensitive to capacitive loading. PicoGuard™ devices provide the necessary ESD protection while minimizing attenuation at high frequencies, making them ideal for these applications.
